Are you bogged down by daily routine and yearn for some excitement? Do you want to be rich and famous? There are certain ways that you can get instant fame and celebrity status. Usually such means involve sleaze and unethical and unscrupulous acts. There is a thin line between fame and notoriety in becoming a celebrity. We outline a few steps to attain celebrity status to help you on the way.
1. Define Your Celebrity Type
There are as many celebrity types as there are fields of human activity. There are celebrities in music, philanthropy, cinema and TV, theater, painting, literature, and the list is endless. Decide what type of celebrity you want to become. You should also decide if you are after the 15 minutes of fame which everyone feels entitled to these days, or a more enduring and long lasting fame.
2. Practice Hard
Once you have decided the type of celebrity you want to be, practice hard in that area. If you are good in your chosen field, practice hard at it to become better. Some people do become celebrities without great talent; but still they are good at what they do.
It is said that you require a minimum 100 hours of practice before your talent gets noticed. So keep at it.
3. Unleash Your Creativity
The celebrity circuit breeds on creativity. Unless you have that spark of originality, it becomes very difficult to get a foothold in celebrity circles. Not all of us are endowed with natural born creativity. It is not wrong to start off on already famous work, for starters, and put in your own effort to throw a different perspective on it. People out there are not looking for what is different that you have to offer.
Of course there are some who have attained celebrity status without great talent, but these have been very rare and do not last long. The discerning public soon weeds them out and sends them into oblivion.
4. Find Role Models
Find out about people who have succeeded as celebrities in your field. Find out a role model, one who inspires you. Read about his or her life and struggles before achieving celebrity status. 9. Innovate and Diversify
Celebrity status is a very fickle thing. It is quite possible that with time your unique talent will tend to get bland. To avoid this it is necessary to innovate. Bring something new into your act. Try to add to your repertoire – if you are a dancer, try singing. The idea is to keep on trying something new. Try and earn the term “versatile”.
